For the Sake of Our Children and All the World's Children

We, the People of the U.S. and World strongly urge you Mr. President to Declare a Climate and Ecological Emergency at a "For the Sake of Our Children" National Emergency Joint Session of Congress! 

SUPER-SUMMARY

• The Joint Session's National Emergency Video Presentation will show how We Need to Make Reducing Pollution More Profitable Than Polluting!
• To do that, its videos will show that Pollution  — including greenhouse gas, chemical, fine particle, plastic, heavy metal and radioactive pollution, pollutants and polluting production methods in industry, agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry and fishing   — is a Hugely Costly, Unacknowledged, Indirect, "Backdoor" Financial and Emotional Tax and Uncontrolled Experiment without Our Permission on Society! 
• The best way to reduce and eventually eliminate what is effectively a Backdoor Pollution/Climate Tax on Society and Our Children is first to figure out how much overall it costs society and our environment. 
• Then to reflect and include these true costs, now offloaded onto society, such as worsened  social and environmental health, safety, and "disposal" costs, we need to levy predictably increasing Pollution Taxes on this Backdoor Pollution/Climate Tax on Society at extraction, production --- and at our borders, taxing imports on their embedded pollution to incentivize other nations to do the same internally.
• That way reducing pollution, and so reducing one’s Pollution Tax, becomes increasingly more profitable than polluting…and ever less expensive, cleaner and safer goods, services and production methods will  increasingly underprice and replace their increasingly more expensive, dirty and dangerous counterparts!
•  The result: Saving Money leads to an increasingly cleaner, healthier, safer and more sustainable America and World -- or to put it another way, Saving Money with Pricing That Tells the Truth Can Help Save Civilization!  
• Incentivizing this Green Innovation Boom in our nation with ever cleaner and more sustainable tech, energy, transportation, manufacturing, farming, animal husbandry, fishing, green chemistry, architecture etc.. will also make the U.S. more competitive in these rising global, green growth industries and production methods. 
• This will also incentivize and galvanize a Global Green Innovation Boom  and the Human Race for a Healthy and Sustainable World -- the opposite of our ongoing Arms Race, where instead, nations will compete to make, offer, develop and use the cleanest, healthiest goods, services and production methods!

• We Believe, by Aligning With the Most Important Emotional, Economic and Religious/Spiritual Motives and Beliefs Most Americans Including Climate-Deniers Have:
• The love and protection they feel for their children, families and communities and their pride in America,

• Their belief in what is true and fair, 

  ... that enough voters will see the following Plan to Build a Public and Congressional Consensus that We Need to Make Reducing Pollution More Profitable Than Polluting as a win-win-win for their families, America and the world --- the First Goal of the Joint Session. 

This is how the Emergency Joint Session can make that happen:

• Compelling videos, forwardable to family and friends, will on a giant screen show the public and their members of Congress how -- whether greenhouse gas, chemical, plastic, fine particle, heavy metal or radioactive -- Pollution itself is a Hugely Costly, Multi-Hundred Billion Dollar, Unacknowledged, Unvoted-On, Indirect, Financial and Emotional  "Backdoor" Tax on Society! 
• Videos will also show we need Pricing That Tells the Social and Environmental Truth, which is to say whatever's truly more expensive in the long run to society and the environment should be more expensive upfront. In short, We Need to Tax Pollution! 
• By that we mean we need to reflect the true, overall, direct and indirect costs of Pollution, or what going forward we'll call the Backdoor Pollution/Climate Tax on Society, which includes the following costs now offloaded onto society and our environment by polluters, companies making pollutants and using polluting production methods: 
• Worsened public, worker and environmental health and safety, worsened fires, floods, storms and droughts from global warming causing ever higher repair costs of public infrastructure, homes and businesses, 
• Ever higher nation-wide costs for home and business insurance, plus costs for repair, mitigation, migration, and resettlement from 95,000 miles of U.S. coastline due to global warming causing sea-level rise and stronger storms, and with oil, its multi-trillion dollar overseas military supply protection and competition costs not accounted for at its pricing at the pump.   
• So with Pricing That Tells the Truth, for polluters, companies making and using pollutants and various polluting production methods, Reducing Their Backdoor Pollution/Climate Tax on Society and So Reducing Their Own Pollution Tax Becomes More Profitable Than Polluting!
• From the public's perspective, they'll enjoy a Green Innovation Boom with increasingly Cleaner and Healthier foods, goods, services, vehicles and production methods increasingly Underpricing and Replacing their now increasingly More Expensive, Dirtier and Less Healthy counterparts.
• So by Saving Money, Everyone Will Be Joining Together in The Human Race for a Healthy and Sustainable World and Helping Save Our Civilization !

And what happens to those billions of Pollution Taxes? When they're levied onto polluters, pollutants and polluting  production methods, they're called True Cost Transformation (TCT) fees, and when all of them get rebated back to the public, they become Green Economy Dividends. 

• Some of these monies will help buffer the public from economy-wide higher pricing once pollution costs are taken into account as well as help them buy healthier, cleaner food, goods, vehicles, and solar, wind, weatherization and detoxification for their homes and businesses.
• The other portion will be rebated, among other uses, to help former workers in polluting industries, those left out due to racial discrimination and those whose jobs went overseas to get training for good-paying, union if they choose jobs installing and help starting businesses installing solar, wind, weatherization, the detoxification of homes, businesses and 450,000 brownfields with potential soil contamination, capping 130,000 orphan wells, building a national clean energy grid, helping tropical tribes and communities to save, protect and grow back their rainforests and other deserving and needed projects. • As a result, these Green Economy Dividends will incentivize and finance a Good-Paying Green Job Boom and Just Transition to an America and American Democracy That's Increasingly Cleaner, Safer, Healthier, More Just and So More Sustainable!

•  The Second Goal of the Emergency Joint Session: Make that same domestic consensus global! This should be doable as ... 
• It'll be internationally streamed,
•  It calls for the U.S. levying True Cost Transformation fees on both domestic pollution and the embedded pollution of imports to incentivize other nations to do the same internally and to level the playing field, and 
• It should be doable because most of the global public understands making a profit drives business and the economy. Only now, profits will increasingly become also truly profitable to society as they'll be socially and environmentally realistic, responsible, honest, sustainable and not made at the expense of everyone else. 

Its centerpiece is The Emergency Video Presentation which will show why we need to urgently Tax the Backdoor Pollution-Climate Tax on Society out of existence as soon as possible before all its various dangers become unstoppable.

The Video Presentation will show how Rebating Back to the Public Billions of Taxes on Pollution, aka True Cost Transformation fees, will create, in a Just Transition, Millions of Increasingly Cleaner, Healthier, Jobs, Homes, Workplaces, energy, transportation, manufacturing, agriculture, packaging, water, air, soil, food, rivers, lakes and oceans -- in fact a Cleaner, Healthier America and World!

The Emergency Video Presentation will show how this Tax the Pollution Tax-and-Dividend Plan will Make Our Economy Long-Term Realistic, Morally Honest, Responsible, Just and Sustainable in contrast to our current polluter-dominated economy that makes it profitable to pollute at everyone else's expense, and operates as if there's no tomorrow.

The Emergency Video Presentation will show how Pollution is also an Existential National Security Threat, an Uncontrolled Chemistry Experiment on Our Children and Society, and a Driver of Inflation!

The Presentation will show how America can Financially Incentivize the Rest of the World to Do the Same in Their Own Countries, and so by policy and example America will help lead the Human Race for a Healthy and Sustainable World!

So after the Emergency Video Presentation Mr. President, you could call on the American public to, by phone, email and/or by signing this Petition, urge their Representative and Senators to support Pricing That Tells the Truth and Green Economy Dividends.

In fact, Mr. President, you could announce that we’re in a “Green  Pearl Harbor” Moment in History where America Needs to Unite, Mobilize and Transform Our Economy ASAP so It's Long-Term Realistic, Fair and Sustainable – and by example and policy, America could help lead The Human Race For a Healthy and Sustainable World!

Afterwards, any politician still opposing True Cost Transformation Pricing and Green Economy Rebates will be seen not only as dangerously out of touch with reality but as not really caring about the future of America and of our children!
